Parents & Friends

Connected Families. Strong Community. Shared Purpose.

Parents & Friends Involvement

At St Joseph’s School, Renmark, we believe that schools thrive when families are welcomed, involved, and engaged. Parents, caregivers, and grandparents are invited to be active participants in our school life — whether it’s helping in the classroom, cheering from the sidelines, or shaping school events and initiatives through the Parents & Friends Committee.

We see parents as the first educators of their children and value the strong, respectful partnerships we build with families. When we work together, we create the best possible environment for students to grow, learn, and shine.

Ways to Get Involved

There are many opportunities for parents and carers to contribute their time, talents and energy:

  • Join the Parents & Friends Committee
  • Help at school events, sports days, or fundraising activities
  • Volunteer in classrooms or on excursions
  • Support reading programs or coach a sports team
  • Assist in welcoming new families
  • Be part of class or community projects

Whether you can give a little or a lot, every bit of help is appreciated and valued.

Parents & Friends Committee (P&F)

Our P&F Committee is a sub-committee of the School Board and plays a key role in fostering connection and belonging in our school. The P&F meets regularly throughout the term to organise events, fundraise, and strengthen our vibrant community spirit.

The Committee’s aims are to:

  • Build community and strengthen family-school relationships
  • Provide a welcoming space for parent input, feedback, and discussion
  • Fundraise for school resources and improvements
  • Offer social opportunities for families to connect
  • Support school initiatives and decision-making
  • Celebrate what makes our school special!

All parents, staff and parish members are welcome to attend P&F meetings and be part of the conversation.
